MEET COACH V
Aaron Volkoff or Coach “V” as he is known, is the program director for the Rise Up Race Team, his responsibilities include performance testing (VO2max, RMR, & FMS), individual athlete race and training plan development along with guidance on nutrition and recovery. Prior to joining the OCR world & Rise Up Race Team, he worked with various groups as a strength & conditioning coach, as well as a position and an event coach in a variety of sports; including track & field, cross country, football, water polo, softball, volleyball and triathlon. His unique background in training both endurance and power athletes have provided him the skilled ability and understanding to develop proper training routines for OCR athletes. Coach Volkoff graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Exercise Science. He is FMS Level 2 and SGX certified.

Do all Race Team Member have to do all the same races?
No, each Race Team member will most likely not have identical race schedules.
Do you have to work out at RUT Camp to be on the Race Team?
No, but we think it is one of the Perks!
Do you have to live local to be on the Race Team?
No, if you are interest in racing for Rise Up Race Team and do not live locally contact fill out the contact for below and we will get in touch.
Is there a cost involved to be on the race team?
Yes, the bulk of the money will go towards testing and individualized programming.
Will I have to race in Rise Up Training Race Gear?
Yes, as part of making the race team, you will be provided with customized race gear.
Will the Race Team be required to train together on specific days or specific times?
Not unless you want to! Your training program will be specific to what fits your needs and schedule. Some trainings will be the same as others, but you will not necessarily be required to do the training at the same time or on the same day. Also, RUT Camp classes can be part of your program.
What if I want to tryout, but I can’t make it to tryouts?
Tryouts will be held quarterly, so the opportunity is not lost.
What if I want performance testing but don’t want to be on the Race Team?
All of our performance testing is conducted by the human body lab. You can head over to their website and sign up for their services.
What happens if I don’t make the Race Team?
We will let you know the areas you can work on before the next tryouts.
